Andrew Trujillo
Board Member | Sprouts & Spoons Coordinator
Andrew Trujillo brings steadiness, purpose, and heart to Wolverine Wonders, serving both as a Board Member and as the leader of our Sprouts and Spoons program.
A Navy Veteran, Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts Graduate, Colorado Master Gardener, and Colorado Cottage Food Certified, Andrew’s path weaves together service, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the earth. With over a decade of hands-on growing experience and a love for the kitchen, he brings to our co-op a well-rounded combination of discipline, creativity, and practical knowledge.
As a Navy veteran, Andrew offers strong leadership, mission-readiness, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to plan, adapt, and take initiative. He graduated culinary school with honors and approaches his work with consistency, care, and a strong sense of purpose.
His journey with Wolverine Wonders began when he was asked to coordinate Sprouts and Spoons because of his gardening and culinary background. That opportunity quickly grew into something more, and he was invited to join the board, where he continues to serve with intention and heart.
When asked what inspired him to say yes, Andrew shared:
“I prayed and this is what came to me…
‘Use the gifts I have given you—your skills, knowledge, talents, abilities, passions, and love—not for your own glory, but to reveal Me to the children. Let My light shine through you, that they may see Me in all you do. Teach them not only with your words, but with your life. Let your heart be a reflection of My heart.’”
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 (NIV)
To Andrew, teaching is more than instruction. It is about building confidence, passing down real-life skills, and showing children that they are capable of great things. Through each garden lesson and shared meal, he hopes to offer something lasting—purpose, pride, and a steady influence they can trust.
As a father of three and someone deeply involved in youth ministry and the Community Treehouse, Andrew’s heart has always been for children. He wants to see them grow, thrive, and discover the beauty and potential within themselves.
He lives by the core values of the United States Navy: Honor, Courage, and Commitment. These are not just words to him. They are a way of life.
