Founder, President & Treasurer
Milena Smith leads Wolverine Wonders Homeschool Co-Op with a passion for education and a commitment to community. She oversees all aspects of the nonprofit’s operations, including program development, financial management, and community engagement. Drawing on her background in science and research, Milena ensures that Wolverine Wonders provides accessible and enriching learning opportunities for homeschooling families in the Four Corners area.

Board Member | Social Events Coordinator
Makaylah Briskey is one of the original incorporators of Wolverine Wonders and serves as the co-op’s Social Events Coordinator. In this role, she helps plan social gatherings such as scheduled playdates, Mom’s Night Out, and seasonal meetups, giving families opportunities to connect outside of regular classes.
She has been part of Wolverine Wonders since its early days and continues to support the co-op by helping foster a welcoming and social environment for homeschooling families.

Board Member / Sprouts & Spoons Coordinator
Andrew Trujillo is the Sprouts and Spoons Coordinator for Wolverine Wonders and a valued member of the board. A Navy Veteran, culinary school graduate, Colorado Master Gardener, and Cottage Food Certified, he brings hands-on skills and strong leadership to the co-op. With a heart for teaching and a passion for mentorship, Andrew helps kids grow confidence through gardening and cooking, making him an essential part of our team.

Vice President & Secretary
Kathleen Murphy is an experienced elementary school teacher with a background in outdoor education and a passion for supporting students and families. As one of the original incorporators of Wolverine Wonders, Kathleen brings her expertise in scientifically proven reading interventions and her dedication to fostering collaborative learning environments. Inspired by Wolverine Wonders’ mission, she values the co-op’s focus on intentional parent involvement and student mental health.

Board Member / Field Trip Coordinator
Chelsea Rey Ransford is the Field Trip Coordinator for Wolverine Wonders. From the very start, she has been an active and dedicated member of the co-op, always ready to help and lead however she can. With a background in business and great technology skills, Chelsea plays a key role in organizing engaging field trips that bring learning to life for Wolverine Wonders families. Her strong roots in La Plata County, combined with her passion for caregiver-led education, make her an invaluable part of the team.
